A collection of unique posters and movie art. They are an homage to the films that defined my life and helped me become the artist I am today. Many of them I was commissioned to do for re-releases and showings of these classic flicks.
A collection of works displaying my range as a digital artist. Many are personal commissions while others are just interesting ideas I had that needed to get out of my head.
CHARACTER & CONCEPT DESIGN
I was hired by a Seattle area novelist to help her create the visual representation of the world she had laid out in her books. To this day, “Happily, Inc.” is one of my favorite and most gratifying projects. I took what I learned from that project and am now slowly working on characters for a post-apocalyptic video game.
STAR TREK SERIES
I grew up in awe of the work of Patrick Nagel. A few years ago I was asked to participate in a “Picard Day” art show, for which I designed the “Make It So” piece. This sparked a series based on fan suggestions and input. It made me realize that connecting with your fans is important… they are an integral part of the process. This series would not have happened without them.
I’m a huge stand up comedy, podcast and YouTube fan. These are some commissioned and personal pieces of some of my favorite funny people.
I was asked to make the event poster art for a local roller derby squad out of Bellingham, WA. I fell in love with the sport and really threw myself into the designs.
PRODUCTS & PACKAGING
Designs made specifically to be manufactured into physical products or labels.
ADVERTISING & PROMO
A collection of illustrations, designs and layouts made for the purposes of promoting products, podcasts, websites and individual performers.
LOGOS & IDENTITY
Characters and logo designs for a variety of clients.
I started in this business by drawing my own comics. As a child I couldn’t make movies, so I drew all of my stories. I fell in love with the artform and even started a small press comic company that launched me into this amazing community of artists. These are just a few samples of the 3 graphic novels and the half dozen comic books I’ve made.
Most of my work is digital… but I still use conventional techniques from time to time. And these little baseball card sized pieces are great to just mess around with.
One of my previous professions was as an estimator for a railing manufacturer. I designed instructional manuals as well as shop drawings to make many of the products we sold and installed.
